CHIMPANZEE PATTERN

I have 2 choices: wait out the health problems I’ve been having and work on this pattern more on a later date, or post it for free and have a rougher pattern written up, and just answer questions if people have them. This seems like the best choice. I’m here to help :)

Materials:
-          Red Heart Super Saver – Cafe (A)
-          Red Heart Super Saver – Buff (B)
-          Fiberfill Stuffing
-          Brown 12mm Safety Eyes https://www.etsy.com/listing/60914103/12mm-animal-amigurumi-plastic-safety?ref=related-5
-          Yarn Needle
-          Size H crochet hook
-          Size G crochet hook

Head:
With A ch 2
Round 1: 6sc in 2nd ch from hook.
Round 2: 2sc in ea sc around. (12)
Round 3: *sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc; repeat from* around. (18)
Round 4: *sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc; repeat from* around. (24)
Round 5: *sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc; repeat from* around. (30)
Round 6: *sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc; repeat from* around. (36)
Round 7: *sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc; repeat from* around. (42)
Round 8-15: sc in ea sc around.
Round 16: *sc2tog, sc in next 5 sc; repeat from* around. (36)
Round 17: *sc2tog, sc in next 4 sc; repeat from* around. (30)
Round 18: *sc2tog, sc in next 3 sc; repeat from* around. (24)
Round 19: *sc2tog, sc in next 2sc; repeat from* around. (18)
Fill with stuffing.
Round 20: *sc2tog, sc in next sc; repeat from* around. (12)
Round 21: *sc2tog, repeat from* until hole is closed.
Fasten off .
Weave in ends.

Body:
With A ch 2
Round 1: 6sc in 2nd ch from hook.
Round 2: 2sc in ea sc around. (12)
Round 3: *sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc; repeat from* around. (18)
Round 4: *sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc; repeat from* around. (24)
Round 5: *sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc; repeat from* around. (30)
Round 6: *sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc; repeat from* around. (36)
Round 7: *sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc; repeat from* around. (42)
Round 8: *sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc; repeat from* around. (48)
Round 9-13: sc in ea sc around.
Round 14: *sc2tog, sc in next 6 sc; repeat from* around.. (42)
Round 15-20: sc in ea sc around.
Round 21: *sc2tog, sc in next 5 sc; repeat from* around. (36)
Round 22-26: sc in ea sc around.
Round 27: *sc2tog, sc in next 4 sc; repeat from* around.(30)
Fasten off .
Leave tail for attaching.
Fill with stuffing.
Attach body to head.

Face:
With B ch 2
Round 1: 6sc in 2nd ch from hook.
Round 2: 2sc in ea sc around. (12)
Round 3: *sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc; repeat from* around. (18)
Round 4: *sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc; repeat from* around. (24)
Round 5: *sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc; repeat from* around. (30)
Fasten off.
Leave tail for attaching.
Attach to head.

Eyelids (Make 2):
With B ch 4
Fasten off.
Leave tail for attaching.

Eyes(Make 2):
Round 1: With B 6sc in magic ring.
Round 2: 2sc in ea sc around. (12)
Round 3-5: sc in ea sc around.
Fasten off.
Leave tail for attaching.
Attach Safety eye  in 4th row.  With the washer being attached inside the piece.
Sew eyes together down the middle.
Attach eyes to face.
Attach mouth  under eyes
Attach eyelids.

Mouth:
With B ch7
Round 1: working around the chain.  sc in 2nd ch from hook,  and next 4 ch, 3 sc in next ch, working around the ch, sc in next 4 ch, 2 sc in next ch.
Round 2: 2sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc. (18)
Round 3: sc in next 8 sc, in FLO sc in next 10 sc (18)
Round 4: sc in next 8 sc, in BLO sc in 10 sc  from last round.
Fasten off.
Leave tail for attaching.
Attach nose to mouth.
Stuff Mouth and attach to face.

Nose:
With B ch 3
Row 1: 7 dc in 3rd sc from hook, and in the next.
Fasten off.
Leave tail for attaching.
Sew flat edge ,  to top center edge of mouth piece, make a stitch in center of the nose connecting it to the mouth.

Ears (make 2):
With B ch 2
Round 1: 6sc in 2nd ch from hook.
Round 2: 2sc in ea sc around. (12)
Round 3: *sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc; repeat from* around. (18)
Round 4: *sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc; repeat from* around. (24)
Round 5: *sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc; repeat from* around. (30)
Round 6: *sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc; repeat from* around. (36)
Fold ears in half.
Round 7: crochet through both rows of ear (18)
Fasten off.
Leave tail for attaching.
Curve ears as you sew them to the chimps head.  Like you see in the photo.
Attach to head.

Upper Leg (Make 2):
Round 1: With A 6 sc in magic ring.
Round 2: 2sc in ea sc around. (12)
Round 3: *sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc; repeat from* around. (18)
Round 4-9: sc in ea sc around.
Round 10: sc in next 3 sc, sc2tog 3 times; repeat from *. (12)
Round 11-18:sc in ea sc around.
Fasten off leave tail for attaching.
Attach to body.

Elbows/Knees (make 4):
Round 1: With A 6 sc in magic ring.
Round 2: 2sc in ea sc around. (12)
Round 3-5: *sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc; repeat from* around. (12)
Round 6: *sc2tog, repeat from* until hole is closed.
Leave tail for attaching
Fill with stuffing.
Attach to upper leg.

Lower Leg (Make 2):
With B ch 2
Round 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook.
Round 2:  2 sc in ea sc around. (12)
Round 3-6: sc in ea sc around.
Switch to A
Round 7-14: sc in ea sc around.
Fasten off.
Leave tail for attaching.
Fill with stuffing.
Attach to knee.

Arms Upper (Make 2), Lower (Make 2):
With B ch 2
Round 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook.
Round 2:  2 sc in ea sc around. (12)
Round 3-5: sc in ea sc around.
Switch to A for lower arm.  Don’t switch for upper.
Round 6-11: sc in ea sc around.
Fill with stuffing.
Leave tail for attaching.
Attach upper arms to body.
Attach elbows to upper arms.
Attach lower arms to elbows.

Legs Lower Parts (Make 4):
With B ch 2
Round 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook.
Round 2:  2 sc in ea sc around. (12)
Round 3-6: sc in ea sc around.
Switch to A
Round 7-14: sc in ea sc around.
Fasten off.
Leave tail for attaching.
Fill with stuffing.

Fingers/Toes (make 8) Hands/Feet (make 4):
With G hook
Round 1: with B 6 sc in magic ring.
Round 2-4: sc in ea sc around.
Fasten off.
Weave in ends.
Round 4: Holding 4 fingers or toes together attach B with a sc, sc in all outside sc. (12)
Round 5: sc in ea sc around.
Stitch in spaces between fingers.
Fasten off.
Leave tail for attaching.
Attach to lower arm and lower leg.

Single Toes and Fingers (make 4):
With G hook
Round 1: with B 6 sc in magic ring.
Round 2-3: sc in ea sc around
Fasten off.
Leave tail for attaching.
Attach to feet and hands where shown.
